Notice
*New*
As a result of redistricting:
*New*
• All registered voters in King and Queen County were moved from
Virginia Senate District 4 to Virginia Senate District 3;
• Voters in 101 (Newtown) and 201 (St. Stephens Church) also had
a change in their Virginia House of Delegates District—moved from
97th to 98th;
• Voters along the old precinct boundary lines may have a change
in voting precinct due to the local redistricting changes.
The State Board of Elections will be mailing
a new voter card to every voter affected by redistricting before their
next scheduled election. That means that during the first week of August,
each registered voter in K&Q will be receiving their new cards notifying
them of any voting changes, including any change in their polling place.
The new voter card is contained within a tri-fold
mailing piece that the voter will not recognize. It is headed “Important
Voting Materials Enclosed” and has a return address of State Board
of Elections. Please do not discard as unsolicited mail. Once opened,
the voter will see the new card which should be retained and discard the
old voter card.
