State Income taxes may be filed with the Commissioner
of Revenue by May 1 with the check made payable to Treasurer of
King & Queen County. If you chose to file with the Commissioners
Office instead of with the Virginia Department of Taxation, you should
also send all payments to your local Treasurers Office. If you owe
State Income Taxes and did not pay when filing with the Commissioner,
they are payable directly to the Treasurers Office. A late payment
penalty of 6% per month up to 30% will be added if they are not paid by
June 1st.
Estimated Income Taxes may also be filed with
the Commissioners Office and the check made payable to Treasurer
of King & Queen County. The second, third, and fourth quarterly
payments are sent directly to the Treasurers Office.
